From “Magneto: Not a Hero #2,” which hit stores in December. In which Joseph is evil-just-add-water, courtesy of Astra, and Magneto and Scott wear the same fugly bowling shirts. Joseph’s ableism aside, in the first issue, Emma makes a similarly snide comment about how Mags has Charles on speed-dial. They aren’t even trying to hide their gay mutant husbandry anymore, guys. Also, I see Scott is going through his “well, I’m gonna go hang out at other dad’s house ‘cause he lets me stay up late and drink beer as long as I don’t go anywhere afterwards” phase.
at first I was like ‘haha, jean grey’s delayed subtitle’ but then I was like, ‘…..um are they holding hands?’
because they stood there like that for 5 solid seconds while charles went on about how friendship is magic and all of that. but, I mean, now I’m just looking at this and thinking about how the hell they ended up maneuvered that way. because erik is standing like a total goober, and charles shouldn’t even be standing at all, this wasn’t even a savage land episode…..
Should point out that the scene cuts immediately to Charles and Erik right after we get Jean and Scott macking on each other for like five minutes. And um, that Charles and Erik are basically doing the exact same thing.
(I’m also not sure why Charles is standing. Maybe someone magically cured his paralysis for Jewish Christmas.)
